bigpimpinmba's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good Music on the Radio? No way. I know Ill come across as a crotchety old man by saying this, but radio these days is really crap. Everyone plays the same music over and over. There is very little originality, since every station is basically owned by one of two companies (Infinity or Clearchannel). Thats why it is always so awesome when you hear a couple really good songs in a row on the radio. I was out on my lunch break and heard the following three, great songs. In a row. Fight Like a Brave Red Hot Chili Peppers Add It Up Violent Femmes Laid Thomas Pick your jaw up off the ground. This is unprecedented. This was a New York rock station that cant usually help but throw some crappy Sum 41 or other cookie-cutter rock group between songs like this. But it really happened. Today. Wahoo. Its the little things. After this three-song blitz of goodness that was way too good to be true, I flipped through the stations and landed momentarily on a Spanish station and briefly heard the words Musica Romanica. Hold on. Flip back. There is nothing that melts my taco like some Musica Romantica. Spanish love music is truly Romantica. I know many people have commented on how funny it is to hear foreign languages and then some random word thrown in in English, but damn is that funny. Again, its the little things. 2:39 p.m. - 2004-07-09 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
